Prof. Shuo Lin together with five other PhD’s of Ze Jin, Zhimeng Yan, Ning’ai Liu, Zhiyuan Gong, and Qiaoming Long as a new innovation team of new drug developmentjoined SCCIP in 2010, and were granted the title of Guangdong Innovation Team for Sicence and Technology in June 2011.

Prof. Shuo Lin is an expert of animal genetic resources and developmental biology, currently a Lifetime Professor of University of California at Los Angeles, US, a visiting professor of Beijing University, being selected in “Thousand Talent Plan” formulated by Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. Prof. Lin has published over 100 papers and treatises on Science and Nature and other periodicals, holding 2 patents. Prof. Lin participated in research on zebra danio in 1991, contributing a lot in light of disease model of zebra danio hemocyte and screening technique of animal drug as whole. He is especially good at the foundation of disease model for human with the help of zebra danio transgenosis and screening of drugs. Prof. Lin was also granted as a sole inventor with a patent for specifically expressed transgenic technology by Internation zebra danio organization, becoming a scientific founder of Zygogen Biotechnology Company in UA. At present, Prof. Lin has established over 1,800 kinds of zebra danio transgenosis models, leading the industry worldwide.

The team led by Prof. Lin has long been devoted to the sdudy of zebra danio leukocyte and vasculature development, transgenosis technology, disease model and animal drug as whole and screening technique, etc, especially the foundation of disease model for human with the help of zebra danio transgenosis and screening of drugs, which greatly speeds up the progress of new drug innovation with advantage of the technology, shortens the R&D cycle and reduces R&D costs, which has great significance for the new drug innovation in South China.
